Greetings One and All,
If it is true that 'All good things must come to an end', then this is one of them, because this is it: the very last edition of La Fenętre Magazine, Reading Through The Write Window.
La Fenętre Magazine, one whole year of unadulterated fun and very hard work, so many beautiful poems, short stories, audios, funny verses, and bedtime gems for the children, so many faces around that huge round table underneath the wide-open window. Hundreds of emails back and forth (make that thousands between the two of us), getting to know you, sometimes getting to know all about you, liking you, barking at you (remember those photos?), becoming friends, mutual respect, shared love for the written word. That's what it was all about, wasn't it?
That's what it IS all about still, but in a month, a week, a day, a few hours, the site will disappear, the name will be gone, we will all go our own way and meet again … don't know where, don't know when…
The site will be gone, the Webmaster will go back to being Master of his House and writing, the ChiefEd will go her own merry little way and remain a writer, and so will all of you … but the LaFen books, all six of them will live forever and those of you who did not buy a copy, missed out on something very special and precious. You forgot? You can still order a copy now … IF there is one left of that specific edition. It's above your budget? Drop us a line and let's talk about it. Not interested? Your loss ÷)
We will miss you one and all, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for allowing us to publish your work and we hope that LaFen and being published in LaFen's printed edition has given you a feeling of pride and accomplishment.
C'mon, dry yours tears (we will, too). Let's 'drink a cup of kindness' and keep in touch. Happy Writing!
Fenętrement and gratefully yours,
Deborah Rey and Allen Ansell
